of $500 Raised
school kits
Emily Harrington

It's my birthday! By pledging my birthday to Southern Africa Education Fund, I'm raising money for kids who struggle to access education instead of asking for gifts. At Aussenkehr Primary School in Namibia, 400 of the 734 elementary students are on the "orphans and vulnerable children" list - that means their parents can't afford their school necessities.

If 20 of my friends give $25 to my birthday campaign, I can raise my goal of $500 to help kids in rural Africa access the education necessary to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. Southern Africa Education Fund supports school renovation projects, provides curriculum, and donates food and school supplies to kids who don't have the same education luxuries we have. For every $100 I raise, one child will receive a back-to-school kit, complete with a backpack, new school uniform, shoes, and school supplies - all the school necessities many children's parents can't afford. Thanks for supporting my campaign!"
